Frozen food requires a packaging material that can withstand extremely low temperatures without breaking down. It also has to be highly resistant to water and moisture that’s going to be created during the thawing process and protect the goods from external contamination.

As an experienced veteran in the packaging industry, Krus has the knowledge and expertise to provide you with the appropriate packaging products in the form of Polyethylene (PE) films and bags of all kinds that will meet all of your frozen food packaging needs.

Our LDPE, MDPE, and HDPE solutions might be the best fit for your products, providing optimum protection during transport and long-term storage of frozen food. LDPE, which stands for Low-density Polyethylene, is a flexible, transparent, and waterproof material that is highly suitable for deep freezing. MDPE and HDPE are also excellent materials for this purpose.

Each of these packaging solutions can be produced in different sizes and thicknesses, and if you so desire, with the appropriate print for your product and company. Your freezing-suitable packaging solutions can be manufactured in one of the 8 colors that we offer.

The films can be produced with a range of additives to meet your specific requirements beyond resistance to freezing temperatures.

The following additives can be mixed in to enhance the functionality and performance of packaging suitable for frozen products:

  • The UV additive can protect the film from the effects of sunlight.
  • The antistatic additive safeguards your products against discharges.
  • The slip-enhancing additive can be included to facilitate easier packaging.
  • The slip-reducing additive simplifies the stacking of products on pallets.
  • An additive can be included to facilitate heat shrink (does not include the HDPE and MDPE films)
  • Optional perforation
  • Optional ionization, which can be single-sided, double-sided, or segmented for films intended for printing and lamination.
