LDPE bags are made of Low-density Polyethylene (LDPE), also known under the abbreviation PE-LD.
The low density of the soft plastic material (between 0.915 and 0.935 g/cm³) is achieved during production with the help of high pressure.
LDPE is the oldest grade of polyethylene, most commonly used for packaging different products.
The shape of LDPE bags depends on the shape of the product to be packed.
Here at Krus, we can offer you 8 different colors of LDPE bags.

Send InquiryVarious additives can be mixed-in during the manufacturing process to improve certain properties of LDPE bags, for example, to boost the environmental protection capabilities of the pouches.
LDPE bags with antistatic additives are generally used to keep electronic components safe. The antistatic additive is intended to protect the contents of the bag reliably and for a long time against the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD). You can recognize such pouches by the ESD warning sign and the pink color of the bag itself.
LDPE bags are manufactured with the addition of a UV stabilizer if they are to be exposed to direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time. The UV stabilizer protects the bag and its contents by safely converting the ultraviolet light.
LDPE bags with antiblock are easier to roll up. Mineral or organic additives are mixed-in during the production process, which helps make the pouch surface rougher. This way, two layers of film lying on top of each other can be separated without too much effort.
The antifog additive is used in LDPE bags used for food packaging. This helps reduce the fogging created by water vapor coming from edible products like fresh vegetables or meat. What’s more, the antifog additive can increase the shelf life of food stored in LDPE bags.
LDPE bags are a universal solution commonly used in a wide range of applications. Some fields of application include:
The type of product you want to be packaged affects the size of an LDPE bag. Krus can produce LDPE bags from a size of approximately 70 mm to a maximum of around 1,350 mm. The size of the bag should be optimally adapted to the dimensions of the product in order to reduce costs.
The dimensions of the product dictate the size of an LDPE bag. To ensure trouble-free packing, a few millimeters should be added after the calculation. If you have difficulties calculating the proper bag size, we will be happy to do it for you.

The design of an LDPE bag influences its surface finish. Here at Krus, we can offer you the following types of LDPE bags:
Yes, LDPE bags can be reused more often depending on the material type.
LDPE bags can be disposed of in either the yellow garbage cans or the yellow bags, depending on the region you operate in. After waste separation, these bags may be used as a base material to make other types of film.
The Pantone color system is an internationally recognized system for coding colors. It was developed by the American company Pantone LLC and remains a common standard in the printing and design industry.
